Studio Ranokel is an award-winning studio for non-fiction illustration, animation, and storytelling, run by Sarah Gorf-Roloff in Hamburg (Germany). She is specialized in communicating “complex matters” in a lighthearted way, with a focus on the dissemination of historical topics. She is also author of the book "Bildwerk Wissenschaftliche Illustration" [The work of images: Scientific Illustration] and a scholar thinking and writing academically about the intersection of illustration research and historical sciences.
